This probably seems a little longer than Dave Grohl or the 
Chili Peppers (or Almost Famous) versions of the song. It is. 
They all cut straight to the chase. Try using your thumb to 
hold down the bass note on the D/F#. If you want to use the 
connector notes like on Elton's piano - add2 after the C, and 
add6 after the F in the intro/outro and chorus.
