The song is about how the media manipulate an issue or a situation so u believe what they want u to believe, and that u take the side of who they want u to side with. John wants people to see the bigger picture and be aware of how manipulative the media and people can be in general. they will tell u anything, if they see a way they can benifet from it.

this song is about how the media men lie and twist the truth around so we are blind to it. it is about the propaganda that they feed to us. and it is saying we should read betwenn the lines and make up our own mind on issues.
