The picture of a half-filled cup[His wife?] being full is beatiful.

I remember first hearing this song in concert in 2003 and hoped to hell he'd release it because it's meaning is so powerful. At his last Sydney concert in 2005 he played it through one microphone and got the audience to sing along with him. Nearly everyone knew and sang the words. If you haven't seen John Butler in concert, you haven't lived. It is well worth it.

I've seen this song live 3 times and there is no other song I've ever heard that strikes such an emotional cord in the performer and the audience. He is amazing and we are fortunate to listen to his music. 1

I saw a video of him playing this song and he had tears in his eyes. I have never seen a musician cry while playing their own song. I respect him tremendously and wish someone would love me that much ):

A great song that really hit home for me. I used to say that my destiny was to die by 30 until my child was born he saved my life and gave me a reason to appreciate the world.
