| jld and circa, I'd appreciate it if you kept your immature bullshit to yourself. Maybe your parents made the wrong decision when they decided against aborting you? | |

| This is definetely about breaking up. It's about the last period or even the last evening being together, seeing that you failed in a relationship. Both realize that their love will come to an end cause differences are big and problems cannot be solved. Sad though, but wonderful song. | |

| The song sounds like a painting. He could not have described a doomed relationship better than this. John did it again and this is one of the best songs on the new album! | |

| Velcro? Are you serious? Do you have any sort of sources? Any actually reasonable explanation? You claim that the lyrics are saying something that has nothing to do with the actual lyrics. I mean, seriously... WTF... | |

| haha obviously he's not serious, the fact that he got you going is the best part! lol i went to a mayer concert in the summer and i have to say, his blues stuff is great but his pop stuff is horrible meaning radio rock, when he comes down to blues, he's amazing..with solos and blues feel to his vocals, but when it comes to to his pop stuff, its boring! and the whole need the world to change is definately a rip off to mayfeild! | |

| aright so i just came back from watching john mayer live today, i havent bought the new album out but as soon as he started playin this song i went crazy over it. it's just simply amazing. The song is obviously about a break up and how they'd struggle from it knowing that they're still feelings for each other | |

| i can see my boyfriend saying this to me, sometimes i'm just so difficult to get along with (you'll be a bitch because you can) and i throw it on the other person (how dare you say its nothing to me.) for no reason at all (because you can't understand.) i love it even though it forces me to be painfully honest. | |

| This is the best break-up song ever made and my favorite John Mayer song of all time. I love how it goes from sweet to harsh and back again b/c that's how things are at the end of a relationship. Great song, great lyrics, great music. His best song yet. | |
