| This is a great song, and one of the first I learned on guitar. Any love songs by Jack Johnson are about his wife, just so you know, so they're usually positive. | |

| this song is a nice way of saying that nice guys finish last. the hurt girl goes for "the sure thing" cuz she knows that she wont be taken advantage of. they guy is emphatic that this chick is going out with him, but her rebound period is coming to a close. hes such a nice guy, he is still considerate of her feelings and doesn't want to be a "regret" of hers. (poor forest.) he realizes this, and his hurt. (broken heart number two). her former broken heart (broken heart number one) is mending. on she goes. but please try not to use too much of his breaking heart. | |

| I love this song.. Likewise, I can't believe so few people have posted comments on this song! I think it's basically about two people on the rebound and they're using each other to "mend" their "broken hearts", though it seems as if the guy in this case sincerely likes her. Fab song! | |

| Yeah this is definitely a break up song. But rarely do you ever find one that is as sweet as this one.... Well bittersweet. | |
