alright im sorry to be mean here but this is by far my least favorite song on the new album. its a little too innocent for me and the message is kind of saying "just skip work, and ill make pancakes and everything will be fine" but thats probly just me i guess

I love this song a lot. Reminds me of me and my wife a lot. I thought the line that says "Halaka uka layly mama made a baby" really said "Like a ukele, mama made a baby" heh.

This song is awesome...So mellow yet upbeat the best lyric in the song is "When the whole world fits inside of your arms Do we really need to pay attention to the alarm"

It's "hala ka ukulele mama made a baby" and "Cuz i love to lay you lazy " is actually "Because I love to lay here lazy"

several things are wrong with these lyrics beyond whats already been mentioned. just as the song begins, right before "you hardly..." it goes: "well can't you see that its just raining there aint no need to go outside.." After the second verse and after "no need to go outside" it goes: "aint no need aint no need mm mmm mmm can't you see? can't you see? rain all day and I don't mind" In verse three the real line is: "It's just so easy when the whole world fits inside of your arms no really need to pay attention to the alarm wake up slow mmm mmm mmm wake up slow" those are the best lines of the entire song, I'm not sure where you got the lines you posted.

I saw Jack in toronto a few weeks ago for his CD release at a record store. Jack came and played a few songs from the new album. WHen he played this song, he stopped half way through of ""Halaka uka layly, momma made a baby"" he stopped and told us what that ment. He said its an old hawaian tease kids would do to a boy who was seen with a girl. Like "Jennie and Jack, sitting in a tree.. ect" used up here.

i love this song! i think its soo cute when he says "You hardly even notice When i try to show you this Song is meant to keep you From doin what your supposed to." its like when you're playing around with someone and trying to get their attention and get them to stop paying attention to something else. the song is just laid back and comfortable

um well actually it is hala ka ukelele, which basically means busted in like a teasing way. you know how we say jessie and john sittin in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G... like that. thats why afterwards he says mama made a baby, as in his wife.... here are the lyrics off his actual site You hardly even notice When I try to show you this Song it’s meant to keep you From doing what you’re supposed to Like waking up too early Maybe we could sleep in I’ll make you banana pancakes Pretend like it’s the weekend now And we could pretend it all the time Can’t you see that it’s just raining There ain’t no need to go outside But just maybe, hala ka ukulele Mama made a baby I really don’t mind the practice Because you’re my little lady Lady, lady love me Because I love to lay here lazy We could close the curtains Pretend like there’s no world outside And we could pretend it all the time Can’t you see that it’s just raining There ain’t no need to go outside Ain’t no need, ain’t no need Can’t you see, can’t you see Rain all day and I don’t mind Telephone singing, ringing, it’s too early Don’t pick it up We don’t need to We got everything we need right here And everything we need is enough It’s just so easy When the whole world fits inside of your arms Do we really need to pay attention to the alarm Wake up slow, wake up slow But baby, you hardly even notice When I try to show you this Song it’s meant to keep you From doing what you’re supposed to Like waking up too early Maybe we could sleep in I’ll make you banana pancakes Pretend like it’s the weekend now And we could pretend it all the time Can’t you see that it’s just raining There ain’t no need to go outside Ain’t no need, ain’t no need Rain all day and I really really really don’t mind Can’t you see, can’t you see We’ve got to wake up slow

This is the cutest song....it reminds me of high school kinda love...when nothing else really matters and you can blow off everything to laze around together because "the whole world fits inside your arms.." it's nostalgic for me...life used to be like that....before we had to grow up! I think this nostalgia is the common theme of this album!
