i like this song, it's fun to listen to and gets you in an upbeat mood. the lyrics aren't bad, i think the chorus is kinda dumb but lyrics aren't everything that makes a good song, the instrumentals are awesome. but unfortunately.. this song reminds me of my ex.. which is weird because its not a breakup song. but the lines "it's really too bad, he became a prisoner of his own past" stick out to me because we broke up because he thought that i was going to hurt him like all his exs did and he didnt think that it'd be worth it to hold it out any longer. so he became like a prisoner of his own past, because he couldn't forgive people. the line "he's moving on before he understood" is also relevant because he moved on from the relationship before he analyzed the situation or tried to figure out why he was doing it.. he still doesnt understand. i tried to explain it to him at first, that he was just afraid and stuff but yeah. he didnt get it. but yeah... i dont know exactly what this song is about. just my own personal experience from it though.

also, it's "round thumbtack" not brown thumbtack. I'm gonna go ahead and say that this should be the next single...or maybe "Good People", but his album is just too good to pick the next single.

I love this song, it's not the typical sound of jack johnson but i like that he is taking a risk with song, sorry this has nothing to do with meaning, i just thought i would defend this awesome song :)
