| Believe this one refers to a fucked up scientist who hears voices telling him to bomb a tube station. Might be wrong. | |

| nnhhh,, I just noticed awhile ago (and freaked out) that... could it be.. dolphin noises in this song!? another reference to Lilly's work!? YEAAH yeah and kasabian is -superbe- live. Though I'm dissappointed in what should be a huge support of fans. Kasabian is an awesome band and deserves more support, attention.. and loyalty. (really, just check out their site's forum.....) oh yeah, and I highly suggest reading The Scientist by JCL, verrryy good read. | |

| And if you smell those almonds man, I think you better run. I don't think John's the only one on LSD... This is a good song..Doesn't compare with Club Foot and Reason Is Treason but hey, what u gonna do? I agree with princessskate...defo a song bout getting high. But it's also about being so stoned that you start to believe the crazy stuff that you think about under influence. It's just this time, John decided to take these actions seriously....TOO seriously!! | |

| A lot of Kasabian's songs are about wartime, and this is no different, its all about how one's forced to do things they don't need to, like John Lilly in the song. They relate it to LSD because that's what makes you do things you don't need to also. | |

| I thought line three went "Said that all of his experiments are what he's planning for the air"? And it's "Through a punched out mirror", not "threw". "Unexpected citizens" makes no sense, it must be "unsuspecting" or "unexpecting". | |

| I have a different version of this song. It has more guitar and drums sounding. Its much less mellow. There are a couple differences in the lyrics: "unexpected" --> "unsuspecting" ; "through a punched-out mirror" --> "like a stone-cold killer" ; "hear the system scream" --> "never to be seen" BTW: IT IS STILL ALMONDS imo, not OMENS (I dont care what it SOUNDS like, "almonds" fit with the lyrics) Just thought you all might like to know that there are some other recordings of this song out there... | |
