| I have a differen't interpretation of the first verse. I read it like this: When did I say this: "I will never leave" I can't recall this moment in my life He(Jonas) is leaving, while someone is wanting him to stay. This person quotes him as saying he would never leave, but he argues that he never said "I will never leave". In the next verse Jonas is essentially giving us(or the person) the reason for his departure, and it has to do with his troubled past. Maybe he feels he will only bring trouble if he stays. The last verse is difficult to comprehend. "Murderers come my way, someday you will join them" Perhaps whatever Jonas did in the past caused a bounty to be placed on his head, and even the person who wants him to stay would kill him, if they knew what it was he did. | |

| In the first verse it makes me think that he (Jonas Renske) may have said something that he didn't want to let out to someone (possibly moving) so he denies that he says it the next time speaking. The second verse I believe he might have witnessed a death, or something to another person (maybe attempted suicide) and if he tells the person which he speaks to about it that s/he will be spooked and could do something. The third verse is that the person is making him stay at their place, or with them and s/he has he let the secret slip and now wishes that it didn't happen at all. In the final verse he is giving up the fact that the secret is out and there is no reason to bottle it up inside, now the person who found out needs to just come his way in due time. | |
