| i also agree with ashmonkey. i don't this song is meant to be take literally. i think "sober" represents like finally being ok without that person that was causing you harm. i can definately relate. well maybe not yet. but i will. | |

| Pinkbutterfly, isn't this song similar to "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol? It did well commercially. Anyway, this song is terribly beautiful. These are some of the best lyrics she'll ever write along with those in "Maybe." This song confirms that Kelly is pretty much one of the best vocalists...perhaps ever...? | |

| not sure how well this'll do on the radio because it takes so long to build up. But at least this song has a hook, because most of My December doesn't. | |

| I agree that this isn't about being sober in the traditional sense, but more about a spiritual state of being. It's a song about moving on from something so traumatic, that you count the months since it took place. It's defiant yet vulnerable, as this person still fears what's to come. I think this song showcases both Kelly's lyrical and vocal abilities like never before. The build up and subtle use of that amazing voice is beyond breathtaking! | |

| I was going to come on here and post the same thing that wtf_emo_kid posted, because Kelly's words help alot to understand the song. Also I agree with ashmonkey as far as the meaning goes. Such an awesomely beautiful song. I can tell this album is going to be so much better than her other two. It seems like Kelly, along with her music, has matured so much, and you can really tell in this song. -peace- --Mari | |

| I love this song. its slow and very sad to listen too.. there sooo much pain in her voice. This part really makes you feel her pain: Three months and I知 still breathing Three months and I still remember it Three months and I wake up Three months and I知 still sober Picked all my weeds but kept the flowers. Picked all my weeds and kept the flowers.. the flower represent the memeories. | |

| heard this when it was leaked earlier this month :) it's so beautiful. i can definitely relate...my boyfriend left me about 2 months ago and lately i've finally been starting to feel strong again. i could definitely be wrong, but i think that this is exactly what it's about...so maybe not literal sobriety but more of a mental/emotional sobriety...haha state the obvious. i think that's why i connect so much with this song, especially the last half after "wake up". ♥love it. | |

| i have a feeling this is going to be my get-over-you song for me and my most recent ex. the lyrics are so amazing, and i can definetly feel her pain when she says Three months and I知 still standing here Three months and I知 getting better yeah Three months and I still am Three months and it痴 still harder now Three months I致e been living here without you now Three months yeah, three months Three months and I知 still breathing Three months and I still remember it Three months and I wake up ..me and my ex have been together on and off for three months; and ive just now gotten the common sense to stop being with him because he was a jerk. and i know it's going to be hard; but in the end; i'll 'wake up' and realize ive made it this far. i'll be fine without him, even though the memories will still be there. | |

| Kelly said this on aol.com: "My favorite song on the album is 'Sober.' Musically, it's almost hypnotic. You just get lost in it, it's just so beautiful. This song is about surviving something you think you can get past or over. I'm not an alcoholic; that's not what it's about. It's just a metaphor. Everyone has something they are addicted to that they can do without in their life, so it could be about whatever your addiction is." | |
