| The Pearl River runs' through Jackson, the Ross Barnett Reservoir is formed by a dam on the Pearl River. Kid Rock performed the Music Video for (Jacksn, Mississippi) ontop of the docks surrounding the Ross Barnett Reservoir. | |

| I love this song, what ever it means, but I do have a problem with it. I hope who ever wrote this song realizes the Misssissippi River does not flow through Jackson Mississippi, if that's the river it's referring to. | |

| yeah, it probably is somewhat associated with drugs, but I mean seriously, a day and a half and I am still high, of course drugs are involved, but sometimes drugs plus a certain mood are associated with a place, hell, I have felt like a lot of different places, and I think this is just a certain experience associated with a certain place, and once that feeling returns, the impulse to return to that particular place comes along with it | |
