| I agreee 100% with all of you. This is a very deep layed back and relaxed song. I love it. But the only reason Kid Rock wrote this song was to sell records as someone who he isn't. This is a "slow" sort of song compared to the rest of his album. People heard Only God knows why and bought the album not knowing it was more of a rock CD than alternative. Uncle did the exact same thing but WORSE with follow me. That is more of a Pop song without a "explicit lyric" in it. Then everybody went out and bought the parental advisory cd?? hummm... anyway good way to sell records guys | |

| This is a tough song to choke down in most cases. I'm sorry about your dad "dyingtolive". Cool screenname btw. That's how most live their life - they die to live. Anyway, fantastic song. Thanks. b | |

| This song makes me think about... everything. Everyone, I imagine, can relate to the "they don't understand about the shit that I've been through" line, especially when you get pre-judged by people, as we all sadly have been. "Its been so long since I've been home I've been gone, I've been gone way too long Maybe I've forgotten all the things I miss Oh, somehow I know there is more to life than this I've said it too many times and I still stand firm You get what you put in and people get what they deserve" ...So true, Kid | |

| my dad used to listen to this song all the time it was his favorite song and one day he told me that he really realated to this song "i take to many pills it helps to ease the pain" he was sick and he had to take like 20 pills a day "i watch my youngest son and it helps to pass the time" i was his youngest son and he used to love to watch me skate...then a couple of days before fathers day, maybe like a week, he died...."Its been so long since I've been home I've been gone, I've been gone way too long" | |
