I can't help but not take this song seriously. It is sung with a lot of emotion like the rest of the band's songs, but the lyrics just are silly.

Yeah, I don't know what it means. It's a cool song and I'm sry but I can't believe that he's gay. It's just not right. Besides, if he was gay, why would he be trying to pick up this girl?? I dunno I'll let you all ponder that. And he's ENGAGED to a GIRL. Crazy people...

I think that the chorus might mean that when he says "you had a boyfriend who looked like a girlfriend that i had in feb. of last yr." that someone might have had a sex change?!..yes..no!..haha
