| I agree with all the stuff said here. This is another song that gives me a rush at its climax (when hes saying hope is not lost in the mid part of the song). Really powerful song in my opinion, just the flow and the lyrics. | |

| In my opinion, I don't think it's about rebellion, but rather, "fighting the good fight" or "running the good race." Being a believer. He's saying do not despair because there is so much sin in the world because "hope is not lost." "Let the strength of your words be the spark that ignites the flame" - Preach the gospel and allow your word to spread the gospel through the people like a fire. "Proclaim your freedom, give voice to your liberation" - Tell people how Jesus set you free and has liberated you from the ways of the world and sin." "weep no more/grieve no more, we will prevail" He's saying fear not, because we've already won. As spoken in revalation, Satan and the world has already been defeated, so there's no reason to to be saddened. "revoke the needless way of affliction, revoke and abandon" - rebuke sin in your life and try to live your life as holy as possible so to be a witness unto the nations. "we are the authors, finishers of our faith" - that's scripture straight from the bible. "we are the solution" - how we are the only ones who can spread the word and bring people to Jesus Christ before the rapture. Awesome song... they are really amazing, can't wait to see them in concert with In Flames and As I Lay Dying this Thursday. | |

| Killswitch are religious ...well jesse david leach was anyway. I think this song can be seen as spreading the word of the bible, but however I think it's more to do with standing up and actually helping world peace be achievable instead of sitting by and expecting other people to create it. We all want it so why are we not doing anything about it? Well that's how I see it anyway. | |

| I kinda agree with those last posts, but to be honest, i just think it's a really powerful song....The kind that pops into your head in you darkest times, when you think there is nothing left, when you have your head in your hands. Just remember those lyrics over and over again "hope is not lost" and it isnt, it never is | |

| The world needs more rebellion anthems like this, especially now that America is being ruled by a bunch of Nazi dick heads. If only more people listened to this shit... It's about rising up against oppression and saying "fuck everything that has gone before, this is our moment, we will make a differance". | |
