Home K Killswitch Engage Desperate Times Guitar Tab

Tuning: Drop C
I noticed that this song hasn't been tabbed so I thought I would give it a try. I know
is not 100% correct but I think I at least got some parts right.

on the last chorus where the song breaks down from the soft bridge, when howard unleashes all fury of screaming, it sends a chill down my spine everytime.

It sounds like he is just talking about how when you at your lowest point and you feel like there is no point in continuing with anything, at all, look to Jesus for help. The song always strikes me like he's talking about a man that is on the edge, and when he finally gets to his breaking point, where he would kill himself he has an epiphany.

A good damn song, how come no one's posted on it! Basically it strikes me as a retelling of the crufixition of christ, there's more to it for sure.

No , I doubt it's about a soldier. More than likely it's about a man(Howard Jones) struggle with everyday temptations and the wrong decision he makes, but he has faith that God will save him. He is wanted the right thing to happen but in these times it's so hard for him, but he still has faith. The line "There's no question, You're the answer, I will find you." I think is God either speaking to him saying he has a reason, or Howard saying he believes he will live a better civil life for God , for himself as well. "In these desperate times , this is plead. When all else fails , remember me." Basicilly he's saying God to remember him and that he has lived for him, and when his death or the raptue, for God to remember him. It's not secret that Howard Jones is a Christian and has faith. cheers.

It is about a soldier struggle. look at the lines Time and time again I stand at the crossroad. and This is daily crucifixion and these rusty nails leave scars. represents the danger they face at the battlefeild. But I can help feel that at the end of the song that I feel that someone has died, so it could be about a soldier life and death.

I highly doubt thats what it means. Its probably just describing a very desperate time in life as the title says.

Maybe its how one person is coping through desperate times they are having and they are looking for the answer through God. Also that the only thing the person needs anymore to get through the desperate times is their faith and God.

Str463 - You're right. The entire song is Howard relating the desperate times of his life to the pain and anguish that Jesus went through in his crucifixtion. It cracks me up how people cannot see this relationship even when this song has blatant clues...(crown of thorns, rusty nails, CRUCIFIXTION?) This song is awesome though becuase you can almost feel how much Howard is pleading for God to remember him when his time comes, that he tried his hardest to stand true and strong throughout his daily trials.
