| i don't think other people do not quite get the meaning of this song. i think it means that friendship is not needed to be great. and to be great you most likely wouldnt find making friends easliy because you dont want all the bullshit that goes with it. | |

| You know, they say the meaning of the song is the meaning to you. To me its not about a girlfriend neccessarily, it's about relationships with people in general. The person this song is about is a very honest and up front person. He has a habit of picking out peoples flaws and letting them know about it with honest intentions, but the other person gets hurt and misunderstands his intentions of trying to be the best friend you'll ever meet. A friend that will be brutally honest simply becuase of the fact that he wants to make you an even better person. Long story short, he burns a bridge because the other person doesn't get it. | |

| we are all brought up by different cultures and values. some are taught to be brutally honest; others are brought up to be non-confrontational. because of this, misunderstandings are common. neither person is particularly correct nor wrong, it just depends on how you look at things sometimes. | |

| my friend put this on a mix CD for me and it's become one of my faves...i'm still working out my own ideas about the lyrics but i love "how come no one told me all throughout history the loneliest people were the ones who always spoke the truth" | |

| This is a song about how a couple breaks up but she wants them to still be friends. Although she does, it just isn't working. | |

| It could be about Eirik and Erlend of KoC... They had some arguments in the past. I think this song is their way of therapy. | |

| "How come no-one told me, All throughout history, The loneliest people, were the ones who always spoke the truth." That is very true, in my life anyway. | |

| It doesn't have to be about love - romantic love - infact, I think it's not. But it's good. Peaceful, like all kol songs, but sexy, rhythmic, wise. | |
