	One comment? Come on. I think that this is one of Kings of Leon's best songs (although I like them all). Although I don't really understand the lyrics, the sheer rawness of it really gets your juices pumping, man. Great song.

	nexusicon, may I just say...spectacular input. now it all makes sense. The one thing that still bugs me about this, however, is the fact that they all say something slurred and inaudible near the end of the song. I can't help but feel like it's something cryptic and/or insightful and we're all just missing out on it!

	This song is about the house in Topanga Canyon that was the haunt of rock stars such as Love, Jim Morrison, and more importantly the "cult" leader Charles Manson. Manson and the Family nicknamed the house Spiral Staircase due to the, er, Spiral Staircase. Numerous "sex parties" and other LSD induced madness went on there. There have been various conspiracy theories that the Spiral Staircase (also known as The Snake Pit after its owner) was in fact an FBI or CIA owned house that was a cover to gain information into the "counter culture" of 60's American Rock. Great Song.
