Kravitz, Lenny Fly Away Acoustic Guitar Tab

This version is totally correct. The first version just didn't sound right to
me, it contains some of the right chords, but not where they should be.
I've taken the effort to write down the lyrics below the chord names, so enjoy and sing along.

G, A#, F, C x2

G A# F
I wish that I could fly, into the sky
C G A# F C
so very high, just like a dragonfly
G A#
I'll fly above the trees
F C G
over the seas, and all the greens
A# F C
to anywhere I please

G A# F
oh, I want to get away
C G A# F C
I wanna fly away
G A# F
I want to get away
C G A# F C
I wanna fly away

G A#
Let's go and see the stars
F C G
the milkyway, or even mars
A# F C G
well it could just be ours
A#
lets go fade into the sun
F C G
let your spirit fly, where we are one
A# F
just for a little fun
C
oh, oh, oh, yeah

G A# F
I want to get away
C G A# F C
I wanna fly away.....yeah
G A# F
I want to get away
C G A#
I wanna fly away

F C
come on Craig... fly away

this song is sooooo awesome but if you want the original asskicking riff look up the Screaming Trees - All I Know The trees were a seattle grunge outfit that fused 60's hippie rock with 80's punk and 70's classic rock.... very asskicking I like lenny kravitz but the trees wrote the riff....

I love this song. I think I heard somewhere that he wrote it when he heard about two people who disappeared, and he imagined them just driving away from it all. Turned out they just died.

I like the lyrics and the beat of the song because they have the ability to cheer me up. However, the video is so stupid. It basically depicts a bunch of girls dancing and stripping. Sure, if it was the video for "It's Getting Hot In Here" that might make sense ,but the song says nothing about women. I guess it's just mroe horny men who don't know how to be creative making the videos. Why does everything have to be about sex? Sigh. I love it as much as (or more than) the average person, but it just becomes blase if every song has to be sexual. Why can't the guys take their clothes off, too? Gripes aside, I do like the chorus and the riff.

I love this song. Whenever I have a bad day in high school, I put this on and drift away, because pretty soon I'll be leaving for college and leaving this place, and I can't wait to fly away!

I love how this song starts (the guitar), it's a good catchy song. It's about getting away from everything and flying away. LOL I figured I'd write what I thought it meant since no one else did. (except Periwinkle) ^^^
