i think chris and the ppl above pretty much hit it right now with the break-up but deliverance, why bother listening to lacuna coil if you dont even know what they singing about? thats just disrespect to the band... how can a fan of a band say they dont care about the meaning of a song.... you might as well listen to pop & mainstream garbage then.

Lacuna Coil is awesomes, i hate to see them compared to evanescence, true Evanescence used to be good but what have they written 3 songs since they released Fallen? they suck now

I think an important part of this song is that the speaker wants freedom from 'YOUR heaven' with 'YOUR love'... the song is about everything going wrong, and finding salvation in one person, with love. Everything's going wrong, the speaker didn't realize that he'd been there... the promised heaven is a lie, but she realizes that her freedom can be found in love. It's interesting, there's anger at the other person, but also a plea for love...

This makes me sad inside. I think its about begging your own emotions to set you free. You see the person (ex) and you just cant set yourself free from them. They've probably already set you free, thats why they are your ex. This shatters me. I can't explain it any better than that.

What the heck, this song is about the non-existence of God.

This song means that you see this person from a distance, and being with them seems so amazing...like heaven, but when you get with them it sucks, and that heaven that you saw was just a lie, and now you just wanna get out of the relationship, and you're begging the other person to set you free, and all the plans you made to stay with this person forever are wrong...at least that's what I feel it means

Lacuna Coil continously state that this song has no religious connotations... I also think this song is about how love isn't a great thing... I think its the singer telling someone that though they believe love is so awesome and there is no downside, there is and it is all too prevelant...

I think this song means pretty much what acetica says, it's about making mistakes and learning from them. The whole heaven's a lie thing is probably like the person thinking that they've done so much wrong, that they can't achieve heaven and are trying to convince themselves it's a lie. (I'm probably wrong though)
