	it really is something of a struggle. everyone wants to feel special and like music nobody else knows about...but that's just egotism & nothing to do with the band. i don't think you can say that b/c they have made some $ they are now sold out. there is no A thus B relative operations going on here. I agree that I hate when a band "sells out" insofar as they only get a say in the songs they produce...rather than getting people to sale the music the make...these things (unfortunately) are fundamnetally different once crapTV comes into the scene. But artists are going to adapt to fans...nobody goes into the music biz to play things nobody else wants to hear...they want the fame/fortune. the problem is when corp execs are saying "i need more cow bell" cos that's what is selling right now. how great would punk, and alas all music be, if the artists had excessive sums of money to make the music they wanted to?!? this song just says don't be as much of a mindless bog because a band becomes popular thus you don't like them as other people who only like them because other people do too. I think this is a "think for yourself" song & don't be a pawn of the corporate media...just in reverse (hating rather than loving).

	I love this song. I agree with Unorthdox. I don't mind when the bands I listen to become popular. It's when they change their style to appeal to a mainstream audience. An example of this includes The Offspring. They made four good albums then they started playing quirky pop rock shit. In fact Lagwagon is another example. I liked them up intil Blaze, what a bunch of emo crap.

THANK GOD FOR IT AND MAY HE damn everyone who isnt open minded enough to sit through it. hehehe. ;) no, this really is a great song and it reminds me of a lot of people i know. you know the type, those "way into the scene"....the ones that dont bathe to look hardcore. those who'd rather have an image than true friends. it doesnt so much piss me off as make me sad. lagwagon is slowly kicking one ass at a time with this song. heh.

	I understand what they are saying, and yes some people can "sell out" and keep their musical integrity. However many bands that sell out lose their ability to write meaningfull songs and just play shit that they know all the little teens are going to love. Then they sell themselves to sponsors and make walking advertizements of themselvs with their hurly shits and puma shoes. Capitalism sucks and if you are playing only for the money maybe you should reconsider your job.
