| Well, anyone who isn't deaf or blind can see that she's probably singing about the angel Gabriel... but that doesn't mean it has a christian message, it could be about the 'idea' of Gabriel. The Messenger or the Angel of Death. The question is, if it is the Messenger, what message does he bring? | |

| Gabriel was indeed one of God's messengers, said to be dazzling in appearance. This song was recommended by my girlfriend and I fell in love with it immediately, it always reminds me of her when i drift of dreaming. | |

| i actually heard this song at a funeral scene on csi:miami...but that aside makes me cry everytime...i think its about having someone that was perfect and losing them and not wanting to move on and give them up and always comparing everyone too them | |

| I'm only semi-religious, but study up a lot on Christianity and angels, etc, and I see the connection in this song to the archangel Gabriel, rather than just a character named Gabriel. I think she's just giving the object of her affections the characteristics of the Angel Gabriel, because shes just that taken with him. Angels are said to be perfect beings, and she sees the perfection in him. Love this song, so gorgeous. | |

| I concur with everygeek . she has quite a few songs that pertain to her child, pregnancy and miscariage. I beleive that the theme of this song is "unconditional love" the kind a mother has for her child. She is an adult that can shine, fly, love, stand without him, a parent is not suppose to be dependent on a child, it's the other way around. But still she craves to be with him, to hear his babbles, cries and songs...She is already complete but she loves and needs him by her side. I just had a baby and for me it was like falling in love with an angel God sent just for me, so I can see how this interpretation would fit. | |

| i like heavy metal and neo goth but these two are awsome!!! i think shes using gaberiel to represent a loved person..maybe? saying that while she fine, she feels better with said person? sorry about the spelling of gaberiel, i have a character called that and its spelt that way!! *sheepish* | |
