	I think the comments about drug addiction are on target. "Stoned, solid grey"? Sounds like a drug user to me.

	I agree with the first comment. But i think its mainly about alcohol and not the other drugs

	Maybe the dude's so used to being high he feels weird when he's not high. Thus, the faded line between being under the influence of a drug and reality.
