TAB and Chords for Led Zeppelin's Hot Dog (on In Through The Out Door, I
believe). For the lyrics that I was unsure of I put underlines, and for
the tab I was unsure of, I left blank. I also did not denote any hammer-ons/
pull-offs in the solo, and I am not sure whether or not they belong in the
beginning and at the end.

G
Well I just got in to town today,
C
To find my girl has gone away,
G D
She took the Greyhound in the general store.

G
I searched myself, I searched the town,
C
And when I finally did set down,
G D G
I found myself no wiser than before.

She said we couldn't do no wrong,
No other love could be so strong,
She locked up my heart in the bottom drawer.

Now, she took my heart, and she took my keys,
From in my old blue dungarees,
And I'll never love old Texas anymore.

D G
Now that my baby's gone, I don't know what to do,
D G
She took my love and walked right out the door.
C G
And if I ever find that girl, I know one thing for sure,
C D
I'm gonna give her something like she never had before.

I took her love at seventeen,
A little late these days, it seems,
But they said_________________before.

I took her word, I took it all,
I made the__________________
Shouldn't let______________ more.

It is just a "spoof" of heavy country music performed by a hard rocking band...the opposite end of the spectrum from country music. Another great tune...there are no bad songs from Led Zeppelin.

i love the song... one of the things that i like the most about LED ZEPPELIN is the variety of music styles they use while playing.. this is an obvious country song but LED ZEPPELIN makes it be more than a simple country song... in the case i dont agree with you guys about the song as being bad or terrible... and it does fit zeppelin's style 'cause that's what make them special, THEIR VARIETY.. (ie. dyer maker - carouselambra - stairway to heaven - bron-y-aur stomp....)
