Subject: TAB: You Shook Me by Led Zeppelin

You Shook Me by Willie Dixon and J.B. Lenoir
performed by Led Zeppelin on Led Zeppelin

Wow, my first tab, and from the greatest band to ever play. I figured
this out by myself, no books (hence the many errors) Ok, this is a
basic slow blues, in E, as far as I can tell.

I love the dueling of Jimmy's guitar and Robert's voice. He hits a high A a full octave higher than high A.

I am getting an AC/DC feeling from the lyrics.

"I have a bird that whistles and I have birds that sing." This lyric is one of the best blues lyrics of all time. As far as I know, blues legend Robert Johnson wrote the line, but back then, musicians "borrowed" lyrics here and there. The Lemon Song stole from Robert Johnson some too. Anyhow Blues bassist/writer Willie Dixon wrote the song. Anyhow, it's about having two women, one that whistles - that's the one you got at home, and one that "sings" - that's the other woman, the one on the side!
