	i feel like this is sort of the quintessential "we're back" song. this is one of the first songs on their 4th album, and it had been over a year since their last release, which up to that point was a long time on the Zeppelin calendar. it's all about them loving their job and being glad to be back doing it, sort of like the opening count in to "The Ocean", which is the last track off their next (5th) album. they love to rock and roll, love to play to the ocean.

	I think it shows beautifally where rock came from.. it's what all those old rock and roll bands have in common..its the rock and roll they grew up with and fooled aroudn with.. I think that's cool somehow

	Dodge, floaton33? last time i checked, it was cadlillac who had chosen to bastardaize yet another unassuming rock song. why cant they pick on the john mellencamps and the ccr's that no one gives a shit about and leave the good stuff alone? i mean, please, its zeppelin. show some respect.

	i agree with DMBgurl4141, it's the only good thing about the commercial. and, hey, people who criticize them for selling the rights to the song should be thanking them for making commercials more enjoyable. great song, btw.

	that song was written in 1965... by jimmy page the yardbirds wouldnt play cause they were scared to or somethin... its played by led zeppelin exactly how it was writtin in 1965

	This song was a "Oh yeah? Well f**k you!" to the critics of Led Zeppelin's third album. The critics said that in III, Zep didn't really rock like they used to. And, yeah, the song probably has plenty of inuendo.

	Rock and Roll was originally a term for sex...shock value sold the genre on the name and now it's "noral." God, please don't ever let an awesome song be destroyed by an industry...amen. get the led out
