There's a poem by WH Auden, that is "Good-bye t othe mezzogiorno", with these lines:" ... It is nonsense: the Myth of an Open Road Which runs past the orchard gate and beckons Three brothers in turn to set out over the hills And far away, is an invention ..." Uh...Over the hills and Far Away and the myth of an Open Road...

this is such a great song...the lyrics and the guitar both rock. i love how it starts out kinda slow and calm then just gets faster and more in your face. led zeppelin is such a kick ass band and this song really highlights that. i love the lyrics cuz i can relate to them. its about wondering whats out there in the world, and living your life and experiencing troubles and triumphs along the way...or at least that's how i see it...

I chose this song for the best Led Zeppelin song because the guitar playing in the beginning is so amazing, it just enlightens everything when I hear it. The lyrics are a little confusing but also quite intriguing. All in all, my favourite Zeppelin song.

definitely a song about the frustration a man has about his relationships with women and now he has found a woman he loves.
