| I'd say it's a shame that this is one of the lesser-appreciated Zeppelin songs, but I guess that kind of adds to it, like a gem you've found that not too many people know about. I know about four different ways to play this on guitar, which isn't to say I'm a great guitar player, just how much I must love this song. One of my favourite Zeppelin songs, if not my favourite, and probably the most serene song I have ever heard, and probably ever will hear. | |

| uhhh, hate to break it to you, this song is about the LOTR , it rains in the lotr, and so this song is about the rain in lotr, because led zeppelin loved lotr, and every song is about lotr | |

| unless you are a true rock n roller, this song is useless to you. this song is too valuble, deep, and PERFECT to only said to be OK. sure you can hear the song and like it, but can you listen to it and feel it. not many people can. The Rain song is that the highest level of musicianship, no questions asks. This is beyond the regular song. It is one of my favorite Zeppelin songs. Respect the zepp, and listen and feel this piece of art, don't let it be just a "regular"....because it is far from that. | |

| i think the lyrics are a little cliched (blame bob dylan) and dont get me wrong i like zeppelin so not 100 posts telling me what a dickhead i am...i know that already :p I think the songs about love that wasn't meant to be with the arty lyrics, the main vocalist has almost to convince himself he's in love and the romance will endure. | |

| Wow! I can't believe nobody has commented on this! This song reminds me of when I really liked this guy Mickey and he fucked with my head, played me, and broke my heart. So it always makes me kinda sad when I listen to it, because the song talks about how loving someone a lot is amazing, but how there's also always rain falling on the fire...and that's how I felt. I was in love (lust?) and my fire got rained on. | |
