This is a very simple song, that me and my fiancee want to have played in our
wedding on August 7. I couldn't find sheet music, so I figured this much out.
It's probably very wrong, so any corrections or help is appreciated! There is a
transition chord, detoted by '?,' which I can't figure out. On record, the song
is played on piano and guitar, but for the wedding, it will be arranged for
guitar. Side note: John Lennon seems to have a thing for D -> Dm transitions,
and vice versa, see "Julia." This song came out in 1971, but I don't know what
album it was on (perhaps _Plastic Ono Band_). ---Sean Erwin

| This song reminds me of their album "Two Virgins." They said they felt like they were two virgins, similar to "for the first time in my life." They felt everything they experienced together was new. | |

| this is one of my favorite songs. it's so nakedly honest and pleading, in a way. to me, it sounds like something that would be sung after being almost totally defeated, and he's laying sprawled across her lap, covered in bruises and blood pooling everywhere and pain in his eyes, yet a smile plays across his face and this song falls out of him, just because she's there with him... or this is something that could be sung as they're being dragged apart to unknown separate places, and it's a declaration of love made from the deepest part of his soul, to let her know that no matter what separates them, they will come back together again, regardless. it's like weeping at the sheer beauty of something... put into song. this really makes me cry... | |

| One of the most beautiful and underrated songs Lennon ever wrote. Basically it's just about finding your soulmate or someone you truly love, and how the world seems so much better since you found that person. Obviously he wrote this about Yoko. | |

| this song is just so beautiful, i love it!!! It is just one of those songs you turn up really loud, cause it just takes over, i feel this song, the love....but i guess most of John Lennon's songs are like that. but this is one of my favorite, i wish it was longer than i wouldnt have to play it three or four times to be satisfied. | |

| One of the most beautiful songs ever written. It's strange how love can open your eyes to things that were there all along, but you were never really motivated to take it all in. | |
