| I completely disagree about the relationship symbolism. I think it really is about leaving their town, wanting to get a fresh start, but never really getting it. | |

| The thought of how everyone has the song with the deepest meaning to them... One day i sat in front of my computer in class and talked with one of my good friends. He always shared an ear piece to his MP3 player, and today was no different. He talked about this band, LTJ, and this kick ass song he just got. He talked about how the CD it was on hadnt been released yet. As he pushed play, and the opening lyrics came to life...i became glued to it. I made him play the beginning over and over and over. That night i went out and bought pezcore and losing streak. This was my gateway song, to my gateway band, which lead me into this field of Rock and Roll that i am in today. My first show was Less Than Jake with Bad Religion.*just got the chills thinking about what he has to type next* LTJ opened up with Automatic, but not far after was the one i had been waiting for.*man..just got em again* It got quieter and it was just Chris singing with both of his hands up on the mic. I need not be embarrased to describe the mist my eyes got. I was in the VERY front of the stage, just looking up at him and singing my heart out. That was the turning point in my life, the eye opener so-to-speak. This is the one song that gives me these emotions anytime i listen to it. I'm not sure if there are other people with the same thing happening, but this is definitely the sole reason i am living the life i am living now. The thought just occured to me... What if i had ditched class that day? (sure as hell happened more often than i went) I might not have the character i have grown, nor broken free of the ignorance i was once blinded by. All because of 3 god damn minutes with one god damn song. Im done now... | |

| i agree with this being a metaphor about leaving the person you are so used to being with even though you know you should. (*leaving town*). he says he swears its his last time and this is the last chance he will give her but in the end he always goes back. | |

| This is my somewhat boyfriends and mines son, plus my favorite song. It's about an on again off again relationship with two people that really love one another. And one of them wants to leave the life that their living but needs to have the otherone or life will never truly be complete. so they keep on telling themself that if they just walk and talk and get trough to one another, they can make it work. but this is the last time that they wanna go trough it. So its basically a confession of how they need each other. So the only way to get out is to have them with them, to start a new life together becasue their their escape. | |

| It's about making up and break ups. It's about the tender and awkward moments in a relationship. It uses the metaphor of leaving town but it's about relationships. Of course, I guess you could make any song sound like it was about relationships. But I think all songs really are. | |

| I agree that it is about an on again off again relationship that he keeps saying will be the last time and his last try but he can never leave her. He wants to just leave everything that has happened in his life so far behind and just get away but only if he has her to go with him. In fact I feel like this as of recently. | |

| this is my song of hope. i know its cheesy but it really is. i really disagree with the relationship metaphor theory. if u actuallt listen to the reat of the album there are alot of refrences to leaving town. i tihnk that alot of people can realte to this song because everyone has wanted to leave ther home town atleast once. especially is u live in a small town where everyone knows everyone else, everyone wants to atleast explor the world beyond their ouw. even tho most of them end up back where they started, suberbia hell | |

| this is one of my fave less than jake songs. i think its about a relationship too. its about talking yourself hoarse but the other person never really understanding. so you keep promising yourself its the last time. and yet you never really can say goodbye. like your home town so much has happened you can never really say goodbye for good. | |
