Band: Less Than Jake
Album: Anthem
Song: That's Why They Call It A Union (Track 11)

After buying Less Than Jake's new album Anthem (which, by the way, is brilliant) I decided
I wanted to tab as many of the songs from the album as possible, so I started with this great
song.

I also have tabs for The Brightest Bulb Has Burned Out, but it wont let me put it on because

supposedly 'the name is offensive' and now I'm banned from posting more tabs :- and mxtabs
hasn't replied to my emails yet.

THIS IS MY FIRST EVER PROPERLY TABBED SONG SO BEWARE!

Definitely about parents.. The dad can't take care of the family the way he needs to... He'd rather leave than cause his son more problems and force him to be in the house with all the fighting

Precisely.... and the really scary thing is that I can't remember at all writing that last message... But if this song was about divorce, it would sort of tie in with Escape From The A-Bomb House from the same album.

Christ? Either that was a typo or you like Less Than Jake a little too much... I thought this was about some guy looking back on his childhood when his parents divorced and he starts to feel like it was his own fault that they broke up.

To me it sounds like hes leaving the family because they always argue and hes asking them too forgive him for leaving.
