start of this year when i was souly into punk such as blink and nfg i went on msn one summer day and my mate goes 2 me ohh download this song science of selling your self short by less than jake, i had no idea who they were but i did it, he said he had herd them on mtv and that they were reall good so i got the song and finaly it finished downloading and i herd the lines I've come to my senses, That I've become senseless those lins alone were enough to get me hooked on the band that would prolby shape who i am! like most people i have a gateway less than jake song and this is defintly it. year on i own all the less than jake albums and i noticed that this song still stands out from pretty much any other song and if your posting stuff like ohh this song rocks and its soo cool n shit read the lyrics proply its fucking sad song with a deep meaning. it rocks but its not like some happy song like jony quest or somthin

Why hasn't anyone commented on this song yet?! This is definitely one of the best Less Than Jake songs, in my opinion. I love Rogers voice.

Im listening to this now. And its so good. I mean like its how i feel most of the time. How alot of people feel i bet. The upbeat tune represents me smiling through it when inside im saying things like the lyrics say. Upbeat but negative at the same time. Its perfect.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??? This IS less than jake's latest album (besides b is for b-sides, but that doesn't really count as an album), and it came out in 2004. 2003 comes after 2004...?? How about you get the slightest idea of what you're talking about before posting worthless comments.

Ok, here comes Mr. Nitpicker again. "I'm so overdosed on apathy" is the correct lyric, as well as "Self-deprecation seems ok". This is hands-down my favorite LTJ song, and one of my top 10 favs of all-time. It makes me (almost) wish I could go back to those post-high school/pre-doing-something-with-my-life days.

this song is so meaningful... it makes me cry. i can so relate to it. this is how i feel 24/7. feeling a failure. this song is so amazingly good. this, look what happened, and plastic cup politics are my favourite less than jake songs at the moment. strange how they're all on the same album, but i dont own any LTJ CDs cos im broke

definately the best song by less than jake. i love the upbeat sound to it, and yet the lyrics are so negative at the same time. i just can't believe nobody else has commented on it much?

This was THE song that made me get into less than jake. This song is everything a teenager feels. What makes the song so great has to be the upbeat melody...and yet the lyrics scream of hopelessness. Like putting on a mask to cover up your own insecurties-which is exactly what teenagers do. I'm seeing LTJ in april...if it wasn't for this song I wouldn't be.

one of the best LTJ songs, the way the music is jusxtaposed to the lyrics makes you wonder how you should react to it. but its definitly an apathy song and im a teenager so i gotta love it! "just sing along..."

Wow. Some websites are just ASKING for public slanging matches, well, not public but whatever. I dont know the actualy meaning to this song but to me it has always been about the times when you feel like your whole world is just going completely nuts around you, and you dont know why... yadda yadda yadda, basicly what the dude above me said... But then you have that moment when you think 'hang on, what the hell am I moaning about' hence the first line, "I've come to my senses..." and you just work it out. Yeah its pretty self explanitory. Fantastic song, one of my favourites.

This is probably the last album where less than jake sounded good. This song still sounds like a good classic song. After this album, their 2003 was pretty generic and boring bad pop-punk.

This song rocks. "Im so overrun on apathy and burnt out on sympathy" I'm like that my whole 14-years of life *rolls eyes* I say this not because I'm trying to be cool, but just cause everything I TRY to do always turns out wrong even though my intentions are -mostly- good.

I think rj surfer hit it dead on. I know everytime I feel like my day has just gone to shit, everything around me is going crazy, and I'm smack dab in the middle of it...I listen to this song. And somehow it is always able to cheer me up. Some of the lines describe what I was going through recently when I almost ruined my friendship with my best friend "I could give you lessons how to ruin your friendships". A lot of the lines actually made me think of myself except eh parts about smoking and drinking since I don't do those. I sing along in every bad situation, every crappy day. I sing along and I feel better. I realize the person holding me back myself is me, "I think its fine by me, I'm my own worst enemy". Anyways, no one wants to hear my stories, great song. I love it, makes me feel better every time I hear it. Probably my favorite Less than Jake song (if not one of my favorite all-time songs)
