	my name is alison...and i always felt like i was tefemale version of this song. i try, but im still going nowhere. i feel like giving up...but i knw that if i do, ill have nothing else to try for...its a vicious cycle

	oh, I thought it had a different meaning. I thought that from the lines "he was the one who always did the right thing he was the one that listened to everything they'd say but today he's never going back" Al gave up and commited suicide because his life was going nowhere and the singer was sort of learning from his friend's mistake and saying, well what Al did wasn't the right thing to do and although my life is also going nowhere, I'm not giving up like he did. But that's just me. The beginning is especially amazing.

	This song has sooo much emotion. To me it means something a little different, because this song made stop and look around at what I was doing with my life. Getting tired of doing the right thing. I think the song should be changed to Alison's War. I love it when the bass player sings, he's awesome.

	Dont feel bad admitting it makes you cry...i am exactly the same. The emotion put forth behind this song is greater than usual with these bunch of tweakers we love so much. There is only one song with more meaning to me behind it....and that would have to be "Look What Happened" Check out the posts on that for the reasoning.

	I admit it, this song makes me cry. To me, it's about having all the wrong things in your life and realizing you need change. The only way to do this is to go off on your own, leaving family and bad friends behind. It's so lonely living the life you want for yourself sometimes. The bridge is simply a tear juggernaut.
