| ok ok, up the bracket does mean to punch someone in the throat, its from the carry on films i believe. to explain some more 'english references'..... shadow men are police and yes those are the roads. if you want to put a 'plot' to it, its basically pete (who wrote this song without carl i think) being followed around london by police officers looking for someone he knows, and he gives them 'the fingers'. and pete no longer has seroius drug problems by the way. | |

| I thought the 'two shadow men' were a reference to the Kray twins, who grew up on the Vallance road in Bethnal Green, where Pete/Carl/whoever lived for a time. | |

| Crf, if Pete doesn't still have serious drug problems, what's with the Babyshambles performance in Blackpool, back in December? You don't act that badly if you aren't seriously fucked up. The story I got from this song has already been pretty well summarized, except that I always thought the address they were after was Carl's. | |

| Has a very gritty, British feel, in my opinion. And I've always perceived it to be about arrogance. | |

| i reckon the song is about 2 debt collectors asking a guy for a girls address who owes them money for drugs and he gives them the v and they beat him up and how the guy and her both "in another world" and so suit each other | |

| Wow, I'm the first to comment on this incredible song. Well, I have NO idea what it's about. I'll be the first to admit that. I love this single, however. :-) Great, furious punk rock made in a reggae-pop-surf style that makes you wanna imitate a British accent: "The name is Bond. James Bond." Slink down London streets in pursuit of the bad guys. All in the name of punk rock! Yeah. I don't know what I'm saying. But this band will be absolutely HUGE. :-) | |
