That's what I heard about the song, Teenster73. MoleManSr, where did you get your meaning from? I'm not saying it's untrue, but LH is my favorite group, and I've never heard that before.

This song also helps me to look at myself. Sometimes I feel like I have "Simon" victims. Ya' know, like when you walk all over someone for something small. It's so comforting for me too. I can just go to my room when I feel alone and play it, and even tho no one's there except the cd player, it's like Jason is just my best friend for the five minutes. I can play it over and over, and feel like I've got someone there for me. It's beautiful, and even tho ignorance may make some think it's depressing, it's really very uplifting. Another masterpiece!

The first comment by Boots Bascardi really struck me. "You sound so Christian" I think Christians should know what they're reputation is in the world and fight to secure it or change it. So many people call us hypocrites, perhaps we should look and dig to find out why. Thank you so much Bascardi, you have given me a lot to think about.

ponch is right, this song has nothing to do with simon in the bible, sure there is a coincidence but it was actually written about one of jasons friends, they sat down an his friend told him about it and then he wrote this song. I can so relate to it (being a fat chick). It is the most beautiful song I have heard (second to breathing).

Jason tells what this song is about on the page: (duh) "I WROTE THIS ABOUT A FRIEND OF MINE WHO TOLD ME ABOUT HIS CHILDHOOD. HE WAS TELLING ME HOW HE WENT TO SCHOOL AND WAS THE OUTCAST AND EVERYONE PICKED ON HIM AND CALLED HIM NAMES, AND HE DIDN'T HAVE ONE FRIEND. I STARTED FEELING THE SAME EMOTIONS HE MUST HAVE FELT AND JUST STARTED WRITING THESE LYRICS. I THINK SOME OF THE STUFF FROM (GROWING UP IN) HONG KONG MIGHT HAVE BEEN RELATED TO THAT, NOT HAVING ANY FRIENDS AT THAT AGE AND BEING, AS A FAMILY, THE OUTCAST IN A DIFFERENT CULTURE. THE FEELING OF BEING ALONE, OF BEING ABANDONED, CONNECTS TO THAT. SO "SIMON" CAME REALLY EASILY - I WROTE IT IN ABOUT 15 MINUTES. THESE LYRICS JUST POURED OUT AND I WROTE THEM DOWN AND RECORDED IT ON THE SPOT."
