| If you look at all of Jason's songs.. all of them are religiously based. You just have to look at them from that point of view. Its a great song. | |

| This is my song. If I was ever going to write a song aboiut my experiences, this would be it. The first time i heard it I broke down crying, because I know exactly what Jason was feeling when he wrote it. I don't care about the religious connotation or all tyat crap. What i get from the song is a person who was just about pushed over the edge by the cruelty of others. It has a great message. Regardless of what mindless fools say about you, ignore it, coz your not as bad as they say. | |

| I love this song too. I think that many people can relate to the message of this song because it's talking about someone who has been stepped on so many times and now that's all that they know. The song is comforting because through out the song, he's saying that i've felt the same way...sometimes that all we need, just to know that someone's been in the same place that we're in. | |

| This is a great song. It means something different to everyone, why can't you accept that... if someone wants to believe it is Christian then thats fine... I personally believe it is about Simon in the bible too but I am not going to argue with everyone. It's just an amazing, emotional song that can mean something different to each person. | |

| I thought it was interestign when (whoever) said that this song was about Simon in the Bible. i never thought of it in that way. but i went to lifehousefans.com and it has a section where Jason interpreted his songs. and it does say for SIMON that he wrote it about a friend, who went through all this hard stuff in his childhood. So, MoleManSr dont jump to conclusions and tell off ponch when you dont know the whole story. i dont know what this song is truly about becuase i have not met Jason and asked him, until then none of us can ever be sure. i dont know if jason really wrote that stuff on the site i mentioned above. we all have diff. opinions. i think it would be cool if the song was about simon in the bible, but i still dont really see hwo it could be, it jsut doesnt seem like it beside those couple lines you mentioned. well it doesnt matter really. we love the song so who cares! XOXOXOX -Jessa | |

| I fell in love with this song a couple of weeks ago when I was listening to it. I was bullied a lot through middle school and high school, just because I was too "nice" (and weak) to stop them. The lyrics speak a truth that I love: bullies build their esteem based on the weakness of others. I know this is true because I have seen it happen to those who bullied me. This song is so powerful, it just amazes me....I always wondered why Jason titled it "Simon". Perhaps it is refering(sp?) to the one in the Gospel. If so, that's a really interesting take on it, and I believe that Jason meant the song to be taken both from that angle and the personal one. And another view: I see no reason why this song couldn't be interpreted as God/Jesus speaking to people. I mean, I think that's probably not how Jason meant, but I think a song can be interpreted in many different ways and still be okay, as long as you can back it up. Just a thought...=) | |

| this song is simon, a biblical character that helped jesus carry the cross, singing about when jesus was carrying the cross to be crucified. when he says "i have felt the same" he means that he had to carry the cross, when he says "Scream out loud As you start to crawl" he is talking about when jesus fell and practically called out to him before he helped him, and when he says "Fulfillment to their lack of strength" he talks about how the pursecuted Jesus because they where afraid. i could go on but the list is way to long. if you know the part of the bible i am talking about then this will make sense. | |

| To me, this song is about being walked on. It's about being treated badly by others because it makes those people feel good about themselves; That hurting someone elses feelings gives them a feeling of importance. It's about withdrawing into yourself - isolating yourself from the world because, when you retreat into your "shell", you're safe and no-one can hurt you... none of those cruel, ignorant people who enjoy putting you down can do anymore harm to you when you've locked yourself away in your "cage". This song is absolutely beautiful. I've cried over it so many times. I can relate to it so well. It's so comforting when Jason says, "And I have felt the same as you" and "Don't believe the lies that they have told to you, not one word was true. you're alright, you're alright, you're alright...". Those lyrics are so comforting. When you feel so alone, and you hear this song, you won't feel so alone anymore. It's nice to know that there are people out there who know what you're going through. | |

| I just love this lines: 'Cause the weak will seek the weaker Until they've broken them Could you get it back again Would it be the same Fulfillment to their lack of strength At your expense Left you with no defense They tore it down " It made me feel better about myself. | |
