| yeh i can see why everyone thinks it's about love... but some parts of this song, make me think so bad about how i feel a lot of the time - about having problems that you can't find the answers to, add just wish that you could go back to feeling the way you did - go back to being happy... but thats just my own personal meaning | |

| damn it me bro's log in name again, i always forget to log out... i wrote the THIS IS WHAT JASON SAYS BOUT IT "Before my girlfriend and I got together, she had broken up with this guy. I'd been head-over-heels for her for years even though she was dating him. So they broke up, and I was like, "Man, if I don't make a move now, I may never get a chance." I was always friends with her but never really could get a step further. So I started taking her out to dinners and stuff. She was a little bit on the rebound, but I think she had some feelings for me. We were at that point where we weren't sure if we were dating or not, or even if she really liked me in that way. It was a very vulnerable time for me and that's when I wrote "Somewhere In Between." I poured all those feelings into the song. Then I played it for her and that was it - we were together. " | |

| Well, jason supposedly wrote this song about a girl. He was really good friends with her but she was in a serious relationship already, so he decided to wait for her. and also for the relationship to end. But he dident want to be just the rebound guy. So he wrote this song to show her how he has felt all that time. So he played it and sung it, and basicly won her over, personally i take the song to heart. and i know some of you will want to tell me that its about God, but theres more to every single song then a simple answer. When i first heard it, i thought it was about a major decision that had to be made. when you hear the lines "this is over my head" and "by tomorrow morning ill have this thing beat" and the title somewhere in between should show that its a decision where your not quite sure of whats going to happen, and you want the best for yourself and you want to stay away from pain and all those nasty things Cheers =) | |

| i personally think it's about someone, say a guy, who likes a girl but he doesn't want to like her "i can't meet losing sleep over this no i can't." "this can not be happening." "i know i just don't need this." so he's confused about if he likes her or not: "somewhere in between." and then "would you catch me if i fall out of what i fell in?" it's like he's trying to see if this girl is good for him and would help him and is worth falling in love with. | |
