| I love this song, especially the acoustic version!! I love how it can apply to both God and to a significant other. More songs should be like that. | |

| Makes me teary eyed just thinking about the song... I totally didn't see the song in the perspective of him talking about God. It's so beautiful in that aspect. It gave it a whole new meaning. But when I first heard it, I related to the typical relationship thing... Ok, my story: Me and One of my clsoe guy friends were becoming more than friends, but the he told me that he didn't want to get to attached to me and get hurt because I was moving in 3 months. But after that talk, it felt like he gave up on me all together, even our friendship. This part reminds me of how I felt "Don't give up on me yet, Don't forget who I am. I know I'm not there yet, But don't let Me stay here alone. " ok, enough of my sob story... lol | |

| I know it's about God and all this and that to all religions... But I like to think of it as frinds getting farther from you every second, and you don't wanting to. At least that's how I really feel about this song. It's cool they write about God, but maybe God's not the point, maybe it's about relating this song with each and every one of us in different ways... Friends should not be torn apart, lovers shouldn't be torn apart... | |

| Well I've read all the comments and I have to say that I think we tend to look at everything as black or white. There is a middle, a gray if you will. I am very religious and am thankful for all that I have, and this song to me is about whatever we want it to mean to us. Us being the key word. Each song brings a different vision to every person when they hear it. And that itself is a gift from God. This song to me is telling that one girl in your life who really has helped you when you thought no one else could exactly how you feel about her. There may be obstacles in the way but that can't stop you, you have to keep going, never give up. Thank you, Andrea. Oh and if you like the album version, download the Acoustic version, its even better. Peace. | |

| for me, this song means finding my love, losing him, and trying to find him again. the line "there is no one else who can take your place" describes how hard i've tried to find someone new, but no guy can come close to being "the one." you see, the guy i fell in love with is far away, and i've been lost ever since he left. the past 8 months have been torture for me...seeing couples everywhere, making me miss him even more. i've been depressed about it, not a day goes by that i don't think of him. the more time moved on, the more my memory of him started to disappear. i didn't want to forget him, he's too good to forget. when i first got Lifehouse's new cd, i listened to all the songs and read the lyrics along with them. after listening to "Take me away" i just started crying. It made me remember the guy so clearly, and I realized that i shouldn't give up on him. everytime i hear this song i think of him, and how much i miss him. I love him with all my heart...i allways will. So Anthony, "don't give up on me yet, don't forget who I am. I know I'm not there yet, but don't let me stay here alone. Take me away...take me away...I've got nothing left to say...just take me away." | |

| I definately relate this song to God and how important he is in my life. However, when I first heard Take Me Away, I thought it was a typical relationship thing but I kept listening to it and found that it had a deeper meaning. I believe that this is a very beautiful song. "This time you burn me with your eyes, You see past all the lies, You take it all away" Deep stuff...I love it! Although Lifehouse may not really be considered a christian band, I like the fact that they implied God in their music without preaching the gospel. This song is a prime example, we can relate it to God or life (or both)---it could go both ways but still leave us in awe. | |

| no no NO! You guys are missing his point. Lifehouse isn't god, Jason isn't god... especially not a sex god. This song is him having a total reverence for God. it's beautiful and pure. I think they want people praising God for their music, not them. because He's where their talent came from. He's where all of everything they have in their lives came from.... anyway, beautiful song. I'm definitely not hating it. ;) | |
