THE LIGHTNING SEEDS: Pure
Intro: E A E A
E A
Nighttime slows, raindrops splash rainbows
E A
Perhaps someone you know could sparkle and shine
E A
As the daydreams slide to color from shadow
E A
Picture the moonglow that dazzles my eyes
B A
And I love you
E A F#m
Just lying, smiling in the dark, shooting stars around your heart
B E
Dreams come bouncing in your head, pure and simple everytime
E A F#m
But now you're crying in your sleep, I wish you'd never learn to weep
B E
Don't sell the dream you should be keeping pure and simple everytime
Dream of sights, of sleigh rides in seasons
Where feelings, not reasons, can make you decide
As the rain pours down, splash autumn on gardens
As colder nights harden their moonlit delights
If love's the truth then look no lies and let me swim around your eyes
I've found the place I'll never leave, I'll shut my eyes and just believe
Love is the truth I've realized, not a stream of pretty lies
To use us up, and waste our time

| Exactly - I just found a best of CD in my mums "collection" (more of a lineup of criminals against music, except the odd innocents), and.... meh. I like this song. "Now you're crying in your sleep I wish you'd never learnt to weep" I love that bit. | |

| I really love the lightning seeds if you listen to the lyrics, you can see there is some hidden meaning behind them, even if you just thought they sounded cool. whoever wrote these songs is a genius. if you listen to any modern-day song, often you will find they are just a group of words jumbled together so that they rhyme, and some dont rhyme at all, but with the lightning seeds its different. its so poetic, and yet so enjoyable to listen to. Maybe its just me, because i grew up listening to this band. Meh | |
