Glitstar, I totally agree with you and about the depression. I've had panic attacks and thats exactly how you feel. It's also the same with depression.

It could also be about self-hatred, that's what I always think of the song as saying. I identify well with it.

"Crawling" is without a doubt, ANOTHER great song by Linkin Park but I don't feel it's up to par music wise but it sports an excellent video. I'm not saying it's bad, just not at the mark that Linkin Park set on it's "Hybrid Theory" CD. There is a very meaningful yet chilling story within this song that some people can relate to and I'm sorry to hear that some people actually can relate to this song. All in all, it's a good song, not Linkin Park's greatest but the bands first hit, I believe.. I'd give it a solid 7/10.

HELLO!? It's obvious that this song is about being penetrated in the butt. The lyrics are quite clear about that! Chester is all : "There’s something inside me that pulls beneath the surface" and "My walls are closing in". Not to mention the line about "there's just too much pressure to take ". Can't you people see? Listen to this song (Yes, I know it hurts to) and have that in mind. "These wounds they will not heal" indeed. Poor Chester's getting raped in the arse! FEEL HIS PAIN!

Wow Sane Wow Zacster it might be true that some heavy metal bands make linken park look like boy bands but there not that bad.....are they?

Kyle Kom May 10, 2006 at 3:57 PM PST

sane, you said "no real depth unless you go searching for it." You basically said that depth is supposed to be superficial. That makes absolutely no sense. Things may appear superficial but may actually have a real meaning, but one just has to look for it. Your statement contradicts itself.
