Lyrics:
1st Verse
It starts with one thing
I don't know why
It doesn't even matter how hard you try
keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme
To explain in due time
All I know
Time is a valuable thing
Watch it fly by as the pendulem swings
Watch it count down to the end of the day
The clock ticks life away
It's so unreal
Didn't look out below
Watched the time go out the window
Trying to hold on, but didn't even know
Wasted it all to watch you go
I kept everything inside and even though I tried, it all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time
when
Chorus
I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
2nd Verse
One thing, I don't know why
It doen't even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme to remind myself how
I tried so hard
In spite all way you were mocking me
Acting like I was part of your property
Remembering all the times you fought with me
I'm surprised it got so far
Things aren't the way they were before
You wouldn't even recognize me anymore
Not that you knew me back then
But it all comes back to me(in the end)
I kept everything inside and even though I tried, it all
fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time
when
Chorus
Bridge(2x)
I've put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
And for all this
There's only one thing you should know
Chorus
That's it for an easy but great song!

| what I thought this song meant is that no matter what you do in your life or who you attempt to impress, when it comes down to it, it was all for nothing...so all that effort and time was wasted on something that never really mattered | |

| I thought this was a site where one writes their interpretation of the lyrics of a song, not where you simply say thst you are so cool because you listened to the band before everyone else. Or that you don't like the band......if this is the case go visit a site with a band you do like and make a posative intellectual comment. | |

| vamp, either make a useful comment next time or don't say anything. Anyways, Linkin Park kicks ass, despite what people say. Everytime some band gets overplayed people complain like little whiny bitches, and then that band is considered a sellout when they show up on TRL. Well, it's not the band's fault if they show up there, it's the so-called fans' fault. People call Linkin Park the "loudest boy band in the world," but those people need their brains checked anyways. To me, In The End is about a person who has done everything he possibly could to make him and other people happy, but when it all comes down to it they don't appreciate him so he winds up spending everyday in his self-loathing. | |
