The first part of this staff should be clean. Try
playing it with a distortion pedal and just hit the
cutoff, or if you're quick you can just turn your
volume knob down real quick.

That's it. The solo is just a lot of feedback. To
do something similar to what Jeremy does, put your gain
up all the way, and basically get really close to your amp.
Move around a lot, and you'll get the variations in the
feedback sound. If you're not getting good enough feedback,
try actually placing the head of your guitar on the amp itself
or hitting a couple muted strings above the 4th fret harmonic.
