| i have no doubts this is about overindulgence. The live "more wine cuz i got to have it says a lot. overindulgence also covers the idea of obession-we want more and we have to have it. The whole bit about the river? well maybe it has to do with the river being the flow of the 'norms' in society. His 'obsessions' -whatever they may be- corrupt this flow. Just my thought. | |

| Check the clip out here: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x15zmz_live-lakinis-juice It's about having a spiritual encounter with an angel. He's been told that we were living in the dark and a lot more... He wants to take the whole ride of information he's getting from the angel about the past and future...something spiritual like that. Or it is just about the first time he went all the way with a girl. Btw. Water and rivers keep popping up in songs of Live, sometimes referring to previous songs (like The Dam At Otter Creek). Well after all water is the giver of life | |

| I CAN"T BELIEVE NOBODY HAS COMMENTED ON THIS SONG!!! AHHHH IT HAS TO BE ONE OF THE BEST LIVE SONGS EVER!!!!!! I am not sure if I am right, but I believe that it is about a person who knows he doesn't have too much to offer to a girl, but he uses what he can to the fullest extent and does everything he can for the girl he loves and worships and he knows he is at a level considered phycotic but regardless he wants to ride into the fire and let himself burn and die to fufill this feeling he has about absolutly giving everything to the girl. It used to be better and more normal, but not at this stage in the relationship, or should I say, worship. | |

| Or maybe the toilet water versus sink water is a metaphor for how we as people try to cleanse ourselves with the dirty water. Got a problem? Go drink: alcohol fixes everything. And there's the overindulgence factor. Whether it's food, beer, or anything else, when people get stressed, we overindulge ourselves for whatever reason - like we're washing our feet in the toilet. But that's not what I think this song is about: I just wanted to try messing with and combining peoples' ideas. The first verse about how we were dancing in the shadows from the beginning. We're hiding something, right? Yeah, we're hiding sin. This song is about an overindulgence, but more specifically, I think that this song is about our obsession with sex. I say that because of the second verse. He rushes to the ladies room and tries to wash the girl's feet with toilet water...cause he's got dirty plans ("let me ride") - a bad habit. Then in the chorus, he says, "More wine" because he knows that the girl will be easier when she's drunk, and "more skin" because that's what he wants from her. But again, I think he's saying that it's a bad thing (the dirty habit...burn my eyes). | |

| John 6:54 - "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." This is what Jesus said in reference to communion. So this song definitely references Christianity. Not in good way. Other than that, I can't figure out the rest of the song. | |

| I always thought the song was about questioning our history and where it has lead us as human beings. Yes I see over indulgence, but in the second verse my take was that the rivers become so polluted that the water from the toilet was cleaner to use to wash ones feet. He sees that everything we (as humans) touch turns to crap and he want's change or just to be blind to it so he can live happy. | |

| Oh how I want to be found in Him. I read a sermon today and I want to be found in Him. I don't want an insensitive heart. I want to know Jesus and I'm tired of being religious. My heart gets jaded, banal, bored and spiteful with this world. I get irritated with people I live. I don't love pepole, and I can't get over my own thoughts and I fantisize about how I might make myself better, richer and more efficient. I dream of a simple mind, one that doesn't think of itself so much. One that jesus might have had, thinking only of God. One that thinks of the present moment, that one thing that you can't get back. I am only 23 once. Can somebody please start showing me how to follow Jesus? Can we all worship God and enlarge our weak shrivled up souls? | |

| My opinion: Its about the darker side of love, I.E. obsession. The song's lyrics have a very dark undertone to them, and they seem to speak of how, as humans, we have certain wants and needs that, sometimes in order to fulfill them, we will go directly against what we have been tought. Thats why in the video, there is a person shaping a piece of wet chalk type stuff. The chalk represents lard, which, in turn, represents our human earges. Kind of like, you know what you're doing is wrong, but the earge is so great, that you do it anyway. If this song is autobiographical, He's most likely talking about some sexual experience that he feels guilty about. At least that's my take on the song. | |
