Subject: CRD/TAB Lightning Crashes w/solo &bass

Here is the twentieth posting for this tune. This transcription is accurate to
the CD, however I believe that Live detunes to Eb for their songs. If you want
to detune and play the fingerings as (F-C-G) no problem. In that case the
bridge would also be up a half step to Am and G.

A cool tune that is easy to play but kind of tough to sing
just right. Get that passion in your voice and stress
the dynamic variations in the song (quiet vs. loud sections).

TAB section by M. Livengood when I had a fever so maintain
an open mind.

Lightning crashes
-Live

Intro (Clean guitar) (E-B-F#)

E B F#
Lightning crashes...a new mother cries...
Her placenta falls to the floor...
The angel opens her eyes...
The confusion sets in...
Before the doctor can even close the door...

Lightning crashes...an old mother dies...
Her intentions fall to the floor...
The angel closes her eyes...
The confusion that was hers...
Belongs now to the baby down the hall... (Bass in)

E B F#
Oh now feel it coming back again...
Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind...
Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again...
I can feel it...

E B B
Lightning crashes...a new mother cries... (Drums in gently)
This moment she's been waiting for...
The angel opens her eyes...
Pale blue colored eyes...
Presents the circle and puts the glory out to hide, hide...

E B F#
Oh now feel it coming back again...
Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind...
Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again...
I can feel it... (Heavy guitar in)
I can feel it...

Solo (G#m-F#) (E-F#) Oh I...

(Quietly)
I can feel it coming back again...
Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind...
Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again...
I can feel it... (Everybody in)

I can feel it coming back again...
Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind...
Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again...
I can feel it...
I can feel it...
Repeat to end

This is dedicated to a woman who was a friend of some of the band members who died in a car accident. THe song is about a mother dying in childbirth and the other is about the child dying. Although that is not how Barbara Lewis died, the song is for her. God BLess

I always thought that the first baby dies: her placenta falls to the floor (doctor accidently dropped the new born baby). Confusion sets in before the doctor can close the door. The angels eyes are open. next verse: old mother dies (the woman doesnt die but her new baby does), her intentions fall to the floor (her intention of having a baby fell to the floor), angel closes her eyes (baby dies). Then the confusion that was her is now to the baby down the hall that is being born.

I agree with notperfect. The baby doesn't die. It is new life being brought forth into the world while an old one is being taken. I actually did this song for a project in high school ^_^ We had to analyze songs. How easy and fun!
