I think this song is about a friend or some other person who is constantly pissed or depressed. They are "bound for the floor" and "born to be down". This song is kind of like a wake up call.

well there isnt much to the lyrics and not a lot of them but It is very catchy and you just have to nod your head up and down to this song. great song

Hmm - this song seems to be about a guy who reminds me of Kurt Kobain or a typical male teenager. Or my attitude towards life in high school and college. He does not enjoy life and doesn't see hope anywhere and hates ordinary people for seeming content with their ordinary lives. He does not want to end up like those ordinary people and hates himself even more for enjoying ordinary things. Listening to songs like this probably did not help me get out of a depressed funk for years, but I have always liked this song like LinknMark says - it's spiteful, depressed, pitiful and with a repetitive and simple music scheme but it still sounds catchy, pained and passionate after all this time.

I think it's about feeling BLAH.. and having no one understand why or how, because everyone else is copasetic, which means very good, or whatever.. but yah, that's my view..
