Alright this is my second tab, and wouldnt you know it is easy as shit to play also. it
bassically a bass line and 5 power chords. shall we begin?
Tuning- Standard.
Here is the catchy bass line.
e]----------------------------------------------|
B]----------------------------------------------|
G]----------------------------------------------|
D]----------------------------------------------|
A]--------3-3-2-2-3-3-2-2-----------------------|
E]-0---3-3---------------3-3-2-2 repeat like 20-| times.
Then its bassically the 5th chords of those notes, and if you can play that, you pretty
mastered the bastard. If you dont know what 5th chords are, here is the chords to play.
E5-022XXX
G5-355XXX

| this song is awesome! its the battle cry of the midwest. i live in missouri, how many songs can you name right off the bat about missouri? okay now how about california? California is just one big sterotype these days, new york too. And by the way LA is just one huge black hole of everything thats wrong with the world. | |

| Its not a battle cry for the midwest. He's just saying california sucks as much as anywhere else. Think about it. Whats going on in california that isnt happening somewhere else. Theres nothing extrodanary happening there its just a place to live. And so he's tired of hearing how great it is if it really just sucks. | |

| On the "Live in '05" album, Scott plainly says, "This is a song for the Midwest!" So that should pretty much clear all that up. I love the song, but the knock on Christianity has always seemed a little out of place to me. It's not what the rest of the song is about, nor is it spoken of beyond two lines. What does "your heaven is a lie" have to do with hating songs about California and New York? Am I not seeing something here? | |
