All I'm giving you are the correct notes. Listen to the song to
figure out the rhythm and structure and stuff. Alot of the song
is palm-muted, but its not hard to figure out. You need to tune
a half-step down, but I'm going to list the notes as what they
would normally be.

That's it. Listen to the song and run with it. If you're tuned down
a half-step like I told you to, then I guarantee these notes are right.
I am well aware that there are other elements in this song (such as
a keyboard) but who cares?

famazing song. i agree with all those who said it bashes fundamentalist christians and hypocrites... it can also be taken in a literal sense to mean the whole court house issue too, though...

Personally, I think this song has to do with a female junkie who is forced into getting an abortion when she does sexual deeds. "Homicidal Stare down your idols A pretty baby never to be born You can't pretend that you don't know the reason For the the repent that you saw"

hmm, well hands on the bible suggests testifying. Again, I go with the abortion theory. Except it seems like the criticism is not towards the person having the abortion, but towards all those who judge her for it ("god holds you liable for what you're done" has a distinctly sardonic tone) The idea is generally that if you get pregnant, you have to face some sort of consequence, but society judges you for keeping it and for having an abortion even more. Perhaps the message is: USE PROTECTION!

I am forced to disagree. I believe that this song is about using religion as a justification for ruining peoples lives

I agree with anomalou3 and Blind Opius. It's about religion and abortion. The girl has been persecuted for having an abortion by the "bible thumpers" and now she is turning and putting her "Hands On the Bible" because they have used those scare tactics so much that she has given in to their ways. The message I get is: Don't put your hands on the fucking bible, regardless.

this song is so powerful. I wish that every band took a lesson from Local H.

Ok, here's what I think it is, and this is very much open to interpretation... I think it's about a guy murdering a woman, and in his mind it was by accident, but in reality it was on purpose. Like in a fit of rage! He didn't mean it, but they saw him do it. The only lyric I can't get is "Rats in the Attic, Toys in the Celler." I think it may somehow be a reference to the song Toys in the Attic by Aerosmith, or the movie "Toys in the Attic" for that matter.
