Ronnie was quoted on their live album (One More From the Road) as saying that it was his Grandma's advice.

I like Shinedowns version, ... not better though. Well I like both equally, they both have a feeling to them...Anyone heard Shinedowns version?

Naaa the word is wrong, his convo is with his momma, see how u cath some good edvice now and then from ur old man or old lady, well this is what EXCELLENT advice he caught from his momma....

I agree with you all... I too heard this song first in Almost Famous, and promptly bought the soundtrack- there's no metaphors, no flowery language, just good advice: be who you are, troubles pass, life is more than money and is meant to be enjoyed. This is fantastic- advice anyone can follow...

This song is so nice...it reminds me of being little, in my dad's truck. It's just a classic song to me.

what? no one wrote a comment about this song? this song is one of the best lynyrd skynyrd songs around. its a great song to play pool with and a great driving song. and if you listen to the words carefully you can kinda catch the drift of what the song is about, its about how to live and how to love. that's what i get outta it. long live Lynyrd skynyrd! long live rock and roll!!!
