| I think the songs just about suicide. in the first part it is about the last day in the life of a person, in the second part he writes about how he commits suicide. In the first line: "I see the sun begin to rise" - a persen who wants to end his life watches the sun rise in the last day of his life/enjoys the last sunrise. "Caress the needle prick in my skin" he gives himself a deadly injection "the light of suicide"-speaks for itself "these scars need to heal over" -they can only heal after his death | |

| ... f@#k i love this song... I think the previous comments are right... how it's about him and his life... the depression... the drugs... the abuse... the suicide... very very very powerful lyrics... guitaring not the most complicated... but yet the simple stuff is always the best... Really really love this song... sad song... but love it... | |

| I think Rob is reflecting on his life, the pain he has been through "I've seen the world thru jaded eyes" - he see's differently to most others because of his experiences- abuse & such things. "I've watched the darkness hypnotise" - almost like deperssion [darkness] has overpowered him. "Caress the needle prick in my skin" - Heroin... "Ive seen the light on suidice & i'm dying" - very straight foward, he has seen the advantages of suicide "And im dying" - he doesnt mean literally, just dying in his head... The chorus is straight forward... "These scars need to heal over" - he needs to overcome depression & stuff... "Colder & Colder" - he may mean that he is growing colder & colder over time "Just hold onto me", might mean dont give up on him, stay with him... help him thru it... btw, great song... | |
