Mad Caddies Biography

Band Picture

Mad Caddies consists of Brian Flenniken (drums), Chuck Robertson (vocals), Ed Hernandez (trombone), Keith Douglas (bass), Mark Iversen (trumpet, vocals), Sascha Lazor (guitar, banjo).

The Mad Caddies are a 3rd wave ska band from Solvang, California. The band formed in 1995 and has released five full-length albums and one EP. The Mad Caddies (Known commonly by fans as simply "the Caddies") are a unique band in the fact that they are not constricted by the 3rd wave genre; bringing a huge variety of influences into their diverse, varying and technical sound including ska, punk, swing, spanish, polka (All-American Badass) and even Hillbilly (Crew Cut Chuck).

Its founding members, Chuck Robertson, Sascha Lazor and Carter Benson started the group in high school but the band's membership has changed frequently since its inception. Benson left the band in 2002, and the current lineup consists of: Chuck Roberston ( vocals) Mark Iverson ( bass), Brian Flenniken ( drums), Sascha Lazor ( guitar/ banjo), Keith Douglas ( trumpet) and Ed Hernandez ( trombone).

The band used to play under the name The Ivy League, but changed their name to avoid references to Operation Ivy, another popular ska/punk band.

The band is currently signed on Fat Wreck Chords.
