opening riff/chorus:
e|----------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------|
G|----------------------------------|
D|-----7--7--5----------------------|
A|--------------6----0-3-3-4-5-0----|
E|----------------------------------|
verse:
"Lifeless dead, that unclean bed....."
e|----------------------------|
B|----------------------------|
G|----------------------------|
D|------5-7-5-7-----5-7-5-7---|
A|----------------------------|
E|----------------------------|
play above (2x) then at the end of the second time add these
two chords:
e|--------------|
B|--------------|
G|---10---9----|
D|---X----X-----|
A|---8----7----|
E|--------------|
play above a few times then play:
"alone on dirty floor he slept...."
e|----------------------|----------------------|
B|----------------------|----------------------|
G|----------------------|--10--9---5--5--4-----|
D|---5-7-5-7---5-7-5-7--|--X---X---X--X--X-----|
A|----------------------|--8---7---3--3--2--0--|
E|----------------------|----------------------|
After you play the above to end the "verse" you play the opening riff/chorus
again as Layne Stanley says "yeah, lifleless dead...." This is basically what
this song is composed of. There is a bridge in the middle, but i havn't had time
to figure it out. If you listen to the CD you will get the order of the parts a bit easier.

| i was just thinking...maybe it would've turned out different for layne, had demri not died. what if they got married...layne could've got clean, and still be writing poems and songs, and he would've kept writing and doin' his artwork. but he won't. and that is sad. rip layne layne, kurt, and shannon left a lot of fans behind. | |
